Your card will be upgraded to Chesapeake Bank's new VISA® myCard debit card with chip technology.

This new card means you’ll have enhanced security with every transaction.

Chip technology means greater security:  Your chip card will give you an extra layer of security, since its embedded microchips will generate a unique code for each transaction.

These cards are easy to use, too, since more and more merchants are converting to chip technology. (If your merchant doesn’t have chip technology, just use it like you would

your traditional debit card.) 

With cash back, myRewards is becoming even more rewarding!  When you use your new chip card, you’ll earn cash back with every purchase. These cash rewards will be deposited directly into your Chesapeake Bank checking account. Along with cash back, you’ll get:

  • Assistance Services: You can access your card information, 24/7. Report your card lost/stolen, 24/7. Plus, you'll have even more options to manage your banking by phone, just call the number on the back of your card.
  • Mobile Payment Options: Coming soon: support for Apple Pay, Android Pay or Samsung Pay is in the works!
  • New myMobile App Features: Simply use your smartphone to activate your card, report a lost or stolen card, reorder your card or notify us that you're traveling.

  • Dedicated Customer Service Toll-free Number: Just call the number on the back of your card.
  • Zero Liability: All myCard consumers are protected against the unauthorized use of your card.

    • Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver: With its Auto Rental services feature, you won't have to pay for the collision damage waiver or similar provision provided by commercial auto rental companies on most passenger vehicles.     • Lost Luggage Reimbursement: You can get reimbursed for costs you incur to repair or replace checked baggage damaged or lost (including theft) that happens during a covered trip on a common carrier such as airline, bus, cruise ship or train.   • Retail Services: Your card provides price protection on your purchases and coverage for your cell phone!
    • Price Protection: If you buy an item with your Chesapeake Bank debit card in the U.S., and you find it at a lower price up to thirty days after you bought it, your price protection will compensate the price difference up $250, per item per account per year.     • Cellular Telephone Protection: Cellular Telephone Protection will reimburse you, the enrolled Visa cardholder, for damage to or theft of an eligible Cellular Wireless Telephone. Card Activation

To activate your new card you can use the options 'Manage Debit Cards' option within the Mobile App or you can call the Debit Card Management Service Line, 866-344-2437 and select option 3. Both of these features are 24/7 for your convenience.
